Hoop Jr. was a bay thoroughbred racehorse best remembered for winning the 1945 Kentucky Derby. Bred by Robert A. Fairbairn at his Fairholme Stud in Kentucky he was sold in 1943 at the Keeneland Kentucky annual sale of yearlings to Fred W. Hooper who named him for his son, Fred Jr. He was trained by future U.S. Racing Hall of Fame inductee Ivan Parke.
