William G. Christopher, 62, of Rices Landing, died following an illness of two weeks at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 1953 in the Greene County Memorial Hospital.

A son of the late Newton and Hannah Jane Rush Christopher, the deceased was born July 27, 1891 at Khedive. A pile driver and construction foreman, Mr. Christopher was employed by the Pihl and Miller Company, Pittsburgh. He was a member of Local 428, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, Fairmont, W. Va.

Surviving are his wife, Sadie M. Sharpnack Christopher, whom he married Oct. 31, 1912, and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Mabel Nicholson of Carmichaels; W. L. and Aldon Christopher and Mrs. Lona Dowlin of Rices Landing; Henry M. Christopher of Chatham, N. J.; Mrs. Naomi Metzler & Mrs. Reaha Simmons of Detroit, Mich.; Sgt. Charles Christopher, Camp Pickett, Va., and Ivan Christopher, at home.

Also surviving are 11 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Wade of Fairdale, and one brother, Winfield Christopher of Edenborn.
