Died at Walter Reed General Hospital as the result of kidney failure. A native of West Point,New York and graduate of St.Paul's School in Concord,NH., and Harvard University. He worked for a while as a mining enginner before entering the Army during World War I. Serving in France,he received the Silver Star for gallantry in action.Served with the occupation forces in Germany.Retired in 1946.
