Mrs. E. A. Gillan ARNPRIOR (Special) Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Gillan, of Glasgow Station, died Wednesday in the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital. She was 76.
Born September 10, 1879, at Lochwinnoch, in McNab Township, the daughter of the late James Storie and his wife, Jean Ferguson, she was educated in Lochwinnoch Public School and was a member of the United Church. She was also a life member of the Castleford Women's Missionary Society.
On February.19, 1902, at Lochwinnoch she married William John Gillan. Mr. Gillan died May 6, 1953. She leaves six daughters, Elizabeth Gillan, Ottawa; Sadie Gillan, and Mary Gillan of Arnprior; Mary, Irene and Everette Gillan all at home. There are three brothers, John James Storie and Duncan Ferguson Storie of Lochwinnoch, and Robert Storie of Austin, Man. .Two grandchildren also survive.
The funeral will be from her residence in Lochwinnoch, Friday .afternoon at 2 o'clock. Service will be conduct ed by Rev. Dr. P. DeJong of Braeside. Interment will be In the Castleford Cemetery.
