Cleo J. Strange, 89, of Brazil, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001, in St. Vincent Clay Hospital. She and her family owned Strange Furniture Mart in the Twelve Points area in Terre Haute for many years. She was born Aug. 11, 1912, in Daviess County to Frank Dunn and Margaret Walker Dunn. Survivors include her husband, Norbert Strange, whom she married Feb. 15, 1936; one daughter, Patricia Deakins and her husband, David of Brazil; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bernard R. and Joyce Strange of Clinton, Ronald D. and Pat Strange, and Gerald T. and Karen Strange, all of Terre Haute; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was a member of Annunciation Church. Prayer service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in French Funeal Home, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in the church, with the Rev. Stephen Giannini officiating. Burial is in Calvary Cemetery in Terre Haute. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in French Funeral Home, with rosary at 7:30 p.m. and again from 7:30 a.m. until pray service Tuesday also in the funeral home.
