GEORGE R. SMITH DEAD
Was an Influential Farmer of Jackson Township this County
George R. Smith died at 2 o'clock Saturday morning at his home in Jackson township, following a protracted illness caused from an attack of influenza two years ago. He was 50 years old and an influential farmer.
Surviving Mr. Smith are two children, Mrs Harry Wilfong and Aldus Smith; also one brother, John Smith, and three sisters, Miss Minerva Smith, Mrs. Charles Jackson and Mrs. John Thomas.
Funeral services will be held at the Nameless Creek Christian church on Monday afternoon at 1:30.

Prominent Farmer Passes Away.
George R. Smith, age 50 years, a prominent farmer and stock man, passed away at 2:30 o'clock Saturday morning at his home, seven miles northeast of Greenfield. He had been sick for more than a year as the result of an attack of influenza.
Mr. Smith is survived by a son, Aldus Smith, a farmer, and a daughter, Mrs. Harry Wilfong. He is also survived by a brother, John, and 3 sisters, Mrs. Charles Jackson, Miss Minerva Smith and Mrs. John Thomas.
The funeral was held at the Nameless Creek Christian church Monday at 1:30 o'clock and burial was at Simmons cemetery.
