Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Elder, of Columbia avenue, have returned from Chicago, where they were in attendance at the funeral of Walpole H. Palmer, who was killed by being crushed between two cars on the Santa Fe railroad at Los Animas, Cal. The deceased was a former Auburn boy and was well known among the local railroaders.
