DOONAN, ROBERT ALAN, age 84, of Trussville, AL, died Tuesday, August 23, 2005. Born January 19, 1921, he graduated as a chemical engineer from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
Surviving him are four children, Robert A. Doonan Jr. (Becky) of Trussville, AL, Suzanne Marie Doonan of Macon, GA, Andrew David Doonan (Sherron) of Pelham, AL, and William Lyons Doonan (Denise) of Trussville, AL; grandchildren, William, Michael and Meagan Doonan, Eamon, Moira, Siobhan, Caitlin Glennon; and brothers, Dick and David Doonan.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2005, at 10 a.m. at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel with Monsignor Muller officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, August 26, 2005, from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Ridout's Elmwood Chapel is directing.
