Robert C. Gann, 77, formerly of Letts, died Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Premier Estates. Funeral services for Robert will be October 5, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Geo M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Rev. Darryl Erickson will officiate the services. Honorary casketbearers will be Jennifer Orr, Elizabeth Gann, Cory Connor, Tadd Gann, Sara Shoemaker, Trista Gann, Stephanie McLaughlin and Chandler Gann. Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Robert C. Gann was born on October 2, 1939 in Carthage, Illinois the son of Clyde and Vera (Belknap) Gann. Robert had attended school in Burlington. On September 22, 1956, Robert was united in marriage to Sally Petty in Indianola. He had been employed as a maintenance technician for 28 years for Grain Processing Corporation. Robert enjoyed working in his flower and vegetable gardens, mushrooming, fishing and especially enjoyed time spent with his family. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Robert will be dearly missed by three sons, Robert (Gene) Gann and his wife, Lauri, of Muscatine, Roger Lee Gann and his wife, Lisa, of Muscatine and Tony Joseph Gann and his wife, Tammy, of Letts, Iowa; one daughter, Annette Marolf and her husband, Stan, of Wilton; 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; one sister, LulaBelle Greene of Grandview and many nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sally in 2006; and one grandson, Joshua Connor.
