Massena-Last rites for Mrs. Catherine Dow, 38 of Raymondville, in the Raymondville Catholic Church. The body was placed in the vault at Calvary Cemetery. She was found dead in her home, Feb. 12, 1953, by her daughter Eleanor, 16 when she returned home from school. Mrs. Dow was born Nov. 24, 1914 in Malone, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Bashaw. She attended Malone schools and on Feb. 28, 1933 she and Horace Dow were married in Brushton. They lived in Norfolk for several years before moving to Raymondville five years ago. Surviving are her husband and four children, Martin, in the Navy and three daughters at home, Eleanor, Norma and Fay; also one brother, Herbert Bashaw, Moira, and three sisters, Mrs. Raymond Barbara McGibbon, Gabriels, Mrs. Ed Pauline Durant, Rooseveltown and Mrs. Woodrow Margaret Mulvana, Albany.
