Joyce R. Sawyer, age 83, passed away on Tuesday morning July 19, 2016 in her residence at Keystone Villa at Fleetwood.
Born in Springvale, Maine on November 11, 1932. She was the daughter of the Allen W. Ridley and Mildred (Ham) Ridley.
Joyce was a 1951 graduate of Sanford High School, Sanford, Maine and attended Nasson College in Springvale, Maine.
She had worked for many years at the Colony in Kennebunkport, Maine. She was a watercolor landscape artist, who painted scenes of Maine.
Joyce is survived by her children JoAnn (Sawyer) Reinert of Kutztown; Cathy (Sawyer) Yerger wife of James Yerger of Blandon; John Sawyer of Orlando, FL; Craig Sawyer husband of Elaine Sawyer of Shapleigh, Maine; Jay Sawyer husband of Diane Sawyer of Sanford, Maine and Cary Sawyer of North Berwick, Maine. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a brother Glen Ridley of Springvale Maine.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Carlton S. Sawyer and three brothers and one sister.
Private services will be conducted in Maine at a later date.
