She was born October 16, 1889 in Missoula. Her father the Rev. George Fisher, was minister of the Presbyterian Church in Kalispell and Mrs. Scherf had attended elementary and high school in Kalispell.
In 1907, she was married to Charles H. Scherf, who was teaching in the high school and they moved to Elizabeth, NJ.
During Mr. Scherf's long career in teaching and school administration; they had lived in Wheatland, WY; Cascade, Lewistown, and Havre, and finally returned to Kalispell in the mid 30's.
Mrs. Scherf was much interested in community affairs and politics. She was a past-president of the Century Club and an active member of the garden and drama departments.
She now is survived by one daughter, Margaret Beebe, and one sister, Mrs. James A. Heller, both of Kalispell, and two nephews Hugh Rubinow of Berkeley, California and Sidney Rubinow of Calistoga, California.
