Marvin Butts, age 80, a Goodman, Missouri resident, formerly of Tushka, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Goodman, Missouri at 80 years and 9 days. He was born on Saturday, October 10, 1936 to John Calvin and Elizabeth Lorene Meadows Butts at Tushka, Oklahoma.
He attended Tushka grade school and graduated from Tushka High School. Marvin was a Supervisor at a Stainless Steel manufacturing plant in California. He married Patricia Corina Frye on Saturday, February 22, 1958 at Miami, Oklahoma. Marvin was of the Baptist faith. he enjoyed fishing, riding dune buggies and camping. He was an avid reader and loved giving candy to people.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Patricia Corina Butts of the home in Goodman, Missouri, daughters, Cynthia Halling and husband Michael of Independence, Missouri, Vanessa Lovett of Atoka, Oklahoma and Nancy Adkins of Goodman, Missouri, son John Butts and wife Sherry of Clovis, New Mexico, sister, Ozellia Kirk of Dayton, Ohio, eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Calvin and Elizabeth Lorene Meadows Butts, son-in-law, Claude Lovett Sr., brother-in-law Richard Kirk and niece Karen Kirk.
Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Brown's Funeral Chapel, Atoka, Oklahoma. Interment Tushka Cemetery, Tushka, Oklahoma.
