Daughter of William and Serena (Lawson) Barker of Washington County, Kentucky.

The burial site for Paulina Catherine "Kate" Barker Jeffries has not been found. I have placed her memorial here because I believe that she would have been buried near her husband, Shelton Jeffries.

After the death of her husband, Kate Barker Jeffries applied for a Confederate Widow's Pension on 12 July 1920 in Washington County, Kentucky, application number 3994. According to Kentucky Department of Libraries and Archives records, she received one Confederate Widow's Pension payment of $36.00 in November 1920. She was living on Route 3, Springfield, Kentucky, and received no payments in 1921. For this reason, I have estimated that her death occurred in November 1920.
