S/Sgt Joseph Harding Scarano was the son of Vincent and Josephine (Cerro) Scarano. He served in the US Army Air Force during World War II - enlisted January 15, 1942 - Killed in Action in France. Joseph was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Purple Heart.
