Elizabeth Love-Appleget, 84, of Round Hill Road died Sunday at Greenwich Hospital. She was the widow of Thomas B. Appleget, vice president of Brown University from 1949 to 1959. Her first husband was the late J. Spencer Love, founder, chairman and president of Burlington Industries, Burlington, N.C.

Born in Lincolnton, N.C., she lived in Greenwich since 1940, and had lived in Providence for 10 years before returning to Greenwich.

Mrs. Appleget was a member of the Round Hill Club, an honorary member of the Round Hill Community Guild, both in Greenwich, and a member of the Everglades Club and the Bath and Tennis Club, both in Palm Beach, Fla.

She leaves four sons, Robert L. Love and James S. Love Jr., both of Greenwich, Julian Love of Charlotte, N.C., and Richard Love of Greensboro, N.C.; 12 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held today at 11 a.m. at the First Church of Round Hill, Round Hill Road. Burial will be in Putnam Cemetery.
