Emma C (Farrior) Alexander was born on August 25, 1856 in Fort Gaines, Georgia, the daughter of Dr Hugh Farrior (1818–1890) and wife Olivia Rebecca "Ibba" (Frederick) Farrior (1821–1891).
She was married on September 11, 1883 in Jackson, Clarke County, Alabama to Samuel Houston Alexander (1853–1936), and he was the son of Isham Perkins "I P" Alexander (1827–1882) and Eliza J (Pryor) Alexander (1837–1924).
Living on Due West Lane in rural Madison, Tennessee, Emma was 91 years old and a widow when she passed away at home on June 8, 1948. Burial was the next day in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
