Harold (Dick) Raleigh, 82, formerly of Williamstown, Mo., died November 26, 2006. He was the son of Lewis and Kathrine Raleigh and lived on the family farm. Raleigh joined the Navy and when his tour ended, he then joined the Army. He finished his tour of the Army in Seattle where he decided he wanted live and raise a family. He was better known in the Renton, Kent, and Auburn, Puyallup areas for his favorite sport of steelhead fishing where he fished the Cedar, Green and Puyllup Rivers for many years. Back in the 1970's, Raleigh was also an avid bowler at Cascade Lanes. He bowled for the Puget Power teams plus several travel leagues. He retired from Puget Power in 1985 after 27 years with the company. While employed at Puget Poweer, one of his favorite summertime activities was spending the summer at Lake Tapps. During his working years, he lived in the Cascade Vista area of Renton where he raised his family and enjoyed his many friends. Survivors include his daughters, Linda Raleigh of Renton, Wash.; Gayle Haskell of Edgewood, Wash., a son Michael of Darby, Montana; and June Raleigh, his previous wife of 41 years; three brothers, Fred and William Raleigh both of Ewing, Missouri, and Charles Raleigh of Coloado. Other survivors are his companion Elsie Smith and his best buddy and caregiver John Christie. He was preceded in death by brothers, Francis, Edwin, Leo, Raymond Joe, and Lewis Jr. At his request, there will be no services. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetary, Renton, Wash.
