Mary Ann L. Burke, 90, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mrs. Burke was born October 25, 1926 in Livermore to the late E. G. and Kate Scherm Lindemann. Graduating as a registered nurse from St. John's hospital in St. Louis, she helped open the first cardiac care unit at Daviess County Hospital and later provided private care. Mrs. Burke was a collector of many things and a genealogist who did extensive research of the family. She loved to sing and work crossword puzzles. Mary Ann served in the Ladies Auxiliary #105 of the Fleet Reserve for several years.

Mrs. Burke was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Commander William J. Burke in 1961.
