Cor’Dayja Shanyeal Jones, 9, of Chattanooga, died unexpectedly on Monday, November 21, 2016.
She was a fourth grader at Woodmore Elementary and a member of Redemption Point.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Delonda Faye Ballard; great-grandmother, Daisy Freeman, and grandfather, Andre Jones.
Survivors include her father, Cornelius Jones; mother, LaTesha Jones; grandparents, Darlene and Gerald Cummings, Clarissa and Jerome Wilson, Dedrick Allen, and Jennie Allen; great-grandfathers, Waymon Oliver and John B. Walker, Jr.; brother, Cordarius Jones; sister, Cordariuna Ballard; uncles, Anthony Ballard, Cornel Freeman, and Shaydren (Sharon) Walker; aunts, Donesha Shackleford, Kellie (Martellis) Lee, Ashley Allen, Tonya Ballard (Michael) Bonner, Lisa (Bobby) Rivers, Deundra Ballard (Christopher) Long, and Latoya Hughes; great-aunts, Claudette (Charles) Bailey, Doris (James) Oliver; great-uncles, Claude Dewayne (Rosetta) Ballard, all of Chattanooga; a host of cousins; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, Nov. 25, from 6-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, Nov. 26, at noon at Redemption Point Church with Pastor Kevin Wallace as the eulogist. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
