World War Hero Is Buried With Military Honors
The body of Private Leonard Waldman, who died in France October 22, 1918, while serving with the 54th Infantry, American Expeditionary Forces, arrived in Washington yesterday and was taken to the funeral parlors of Frank Geier’s Sons, 1113 7th Street.

Funeral services were held at the undertaking parlors this morning. The services were conducted by Rev. Charles Steck. The funeral was a military one with interment in Rock Creek Cemetery.

Waldman was born July 15, 1888 and was employed as an electrician when he was drafted into the Army. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Waldman and two brothers, Ferdinand and William Waldman, survive him.

Private Waldman Dies
Private Leonard Waldman, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Waldman, died of pneumonia in France October 5.

He was born in Washington in 1888 and attended the public schools here. An electrician, he was well known in engineering circles. His father is proprietor of a tailoring establishment on 14th Street. He was drafted in June 1918.
