PETERS, ROY A. "SONNY" SR., 74, husband of Patricia Ann Drury Peters, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2007. Born in Louisville, he was the son of the late Mitchel and Ruth Peters. He served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army. He retired from United Electric Local Union #369 and was a member of Incarnation Catholic Church. Survivors other than his wife of 54 years include son, Roy Peters Jr. (Sharon); daughters, Sue Foley (Joe), Karen Powers (Gary) and Elizabeth Moser (Terry); five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Ronald Peters (Carole); a sister, Mona Rodriguez (Phil); and an aunt, Mary Shannon. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday until the service.
