Mrs. Eula Threet
Dies Wednesday

Mrs. Eula Threet, 58, nurse, 811 West Eleventh avenue, died in Memorial Hospital Wednesday morning following a several weeks' illness.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m., from the Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Pattison cemetery near Emhouse.

The rites will be conducted by Rev. Riley E. Dale, pastor of the church; Rev. Bob Cheek, pastor of the Northside Baptist church, and Dr. A. J. Kirkland, Henderson, former pastor here.

A life-long resident of Navarro County, Mrs. Threet was a nurse at the old P. and S. Hospital and later at Memorial Hospital before accepting the post at the State Home. She was a Baptist and a Rebekah.

Her husband, the Late L. P. Threet, died May 10, 1946.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Pauline French and Miss Eula Faye Threet, both of Corsicana; Mrs. Frances Walker, Biloxi, Miss., and Mrs. Cherry Layfield, Powell; three grandchildren; father, James B. Reid, San Juan; three brothers, James T. Reid, Tuscola; Bailey C. Reid, Encanto, Calif, and A. A. Reid, Purdon; three sisters, Mrs. R. M. Drain, Sr., Corsicana; Mrs. Dorothy Fitzgerald, Fort Worth and Mrs. J. I. McPherson, Seagoville, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
