First the Myrick twins of Gleason, TN, [Thomas] Elvin and [James] Alvin, were separated by the death of Elvin last September in Luxembourg and now the father, Jim Myrick, has notified that Alvin was killed in Germany. They were 22 years of age. Entering the Army together three years ago, the boys had trained together, were assigned to the same company, and fought together until Elvin's death. Alvin was wounded at that time, but returned to battle after he recovered. They served in the Infantry. (Published in The Commercial Appeal, March 25, 1945)
