Born in Lyons, he was a Syracuse resident 60 years. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and was active in church work. Mr. Hannett attended Cornell University.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mildred Walker Hannett; a son, William J. Hannett of DeWitt; a daughter, Mrs. Elia K. Zughaib of Bethesda, Md.; a sister, Miss Laura Hannett of Newark and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in All Saints Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Lyons Rural Cemetery in the spring. There will be no calling hours.
Donations may be made to Grace Episcopal Church memorial fund. In charge of arrangements is Greenleaf Funeral Home.
