Roger Christ John Seefeldt, 85, Minot and formerly of Lena, Wisconsin died on Thursday, December 29, 2016 in a Minot hospital. Roger was born on March 1, 1931 on the family farm in Little River Township of Oconto County near Lena, Wisconsin to Albert and Annie (Last) Seefeldt.

He was reared on the family farm and attended rural school. As a young adult he assisted with the operation of the family farm and then was forced to assume control of the farm when his father was stricken with a stroke.

Roger enlisted in the U.S. Navy on March 9, 1956 and served aboard the USS Boston prior to his honorable discharge on January 16, 1957.
He returned to the family farm near Lena, Wisconsin and in addition to farming operated Seefeldt Silo Construction Company. He returned to Wisconsin for a time before moving to western North Dakota during the oil boom of the early 1980’s eventually settling in Minot where he was employed as a truck-driver by Coca Cola until ill health forced his retirement in 1994.

Roger was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

Survivors include his children: Tamera (Ron) Jilot of Sturgeon Bay, WI; Wendy (Eric) Seefeldt-Cramer of Temecula, CA; Jodi (Bryan) Brazee of Neenah, WI and Julie Seefeldt (Scott Jarman) of Fish Creek, WI;
significant other: Pat Cone of Minot; and her children Dawn Pogodzinski of Red Granite, WI and Michael Cone of Minot;
ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren
and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Clara Phillips, Hazel Zabinski, Marian Koutsky, Jean Kolbe and Esther Weyenberg.

The family will greet relatives and friends Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 235 E. Main St., Coleman from 10 A.M. until the time of the Memorial Service at 12 noon with Pastor Nick Johannes officiating. Military Honors will be given at the funeral home by the Coleman American Legion Post #280. Roger will be placed to rest at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Pound.
