Born in West Greenwich, she was a daughter of the late John and Emily (Beattie) Albro.
Susan worked in the medical records department at Kent Hospital for 25 years before retiring. She looked forward to dressing up every year for Halloween and loved spending time with and caring for her grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she leaves her children, James Fontaine and his wife Sandy of Crofton, MD, Timothy Fontaine and his wife Deborah of Pasadena, MD, Mary E. DeCristifano of Exeter and Carolyn L. Feaster and her husband Jeffrey of South Kingstown; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her Committal Prayer Service will be held on Friday morning at 10:00 am in the Chapel at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends may gather in front of the Administration Buildings at 9:45 am and then we will proceed to the Chapel at 10:00 am. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
