Henry married Bernice Engquist on November 23, 1947. For 35 years he owned and operated Hank Buis Construction along with his wife. He was very actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America and LIBA. He loved to fish, golf, hunt and bowl. The most important things in Hank's life were his family.
He is survived by: children, Cindy (Dave) Larson, Beth Strein, Carolyn Sue Love, and Cathy Buis; grandchildren, Kyle Buis, Cody (Alyssa) Buis, Adam (Erin) Strein, Moriah Strein, Troy (Correna) Strein, Teresa Larson, Tammy Gehle, Tina Fuller, Alyssa (JB) Stevens; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; brother, Glenn Buis; and sister, Darlene Wissink.
Preceded in death by: parents; wife, Bernice; son, Steven Henry Buis; and seven siblings.
