Memorial service for Brownie Hunt, 91, Wilbur-By-The-Sea, who passed away Thursday, May 22, 2008, will be held at Westminster By-The-Sea Presbyterian Church, 3221 S. Peninsula Dr., Daytona Beach Shores, with the Rev. Jeff Sumner officiating, at 10 a.m. Monday, May 26.

Brownie, was born July 16, 1916, in Gallatin, Tenn., to Thomas and Virginia Carter. She grew up in Kissimmee and lived there till 1930, moved with her parents to Wewahitchka and worked for a time at St. Joseph Tel and Tel. In 1947, she relocated to the Daytona Beach area and worked for the Florida Council for the Blind. She was a dedicated Wife, Mother and Homemaker - with open doors for all the neighborhood kids. She loved her Bible, Church, Family and Friends. Survivors include her sister, Virginia Bernal, High Springs, Fla.; two sons, James Robert Norton, Harrison, Ark. and Thomas Hunt, Wilbur-By-The-Sea; daughter, Jennie Sue Davis, Jonesboro, Ark.; grandson, Kit Hunt; and three granddaughters, Lauren Miller, Sandy Norton and Tanya Hunt; and a great-granddaughter, Ellen Miller. Contributions in her memory may be made to: Westminster By-The-Sea Presbyterian Church.
