After Lois’ father passed away, they returned to Farnam, eventually moving to Corpus Christi and then Del Rio, Texas, where they spent over 40 years teaching and preaching. After their retirement in 1993, Lois and Earl moved to Gothenburg, where they became involved in the Hispanic ministry of the Cozad Nazarene Church. Earl passed away June 5, 2005.
