Susan Ann Harney, a longtime resident of Mahopac, NY passed away on Tuesday June 3, 2014 at the age of 67. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of Dutch and Patricia Duane. She was raised in the Bronx and Yorktown Heights, NY where she graduated high school.
On May 8, 1965 she married Jack Harney at St. Nicholas Tolentine Church in the Bronx. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Kathleen Harney-Feierstein (Bill) of Mahopac, Jack (Christine) of Carmel, Michael (Susan) and Brian of Mahopac, Jerry (Kimberly) of Carmel, Patricia Harney of Mahopac and Daniel (Melissa) of Somers, her grandchildren Shannon, Joseph, Grace, Tara, Michael, Hannah, Casey, Erin, Kayleigh, Reese, Claire, Cole and Fiona and her sister Kathleen Ross.
Visiting will be held Wedneday June 4 from 7-9 and Thursday June 5 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 am at St. John The Evangelist Church, Mahopac with interment to follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Brewster, NY
