MRS F J RALPH GOES TO REST
The community was saddened last Wednesday evening as the news spread that one of Sonora's model wives and mother had succumbed - Mrs Rosa Caroling, beloved wife of Frank J Ralph. The family and fiends were prepared for her passing but yet its occurrence brought shock and pain to her dear ones and all those who had known the deceased since infancy.
Mrs Ralph had been a patient sufferer for many years and while up and about frequently she was never a well woman, and medicinal treatment only served to give her temporary relief. When death took her she was aged 49 years, 2 months and 5 days.
She was the eldest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Jacob Meyer, and honored pioneer couple of Sonora. The city had been her home all her years and in the days of her girlhood she was a faithful and dutiful daughter, in her mature years a devoted wife and mother, and at all times in her friendships she was loyal and true.
The funeral was held at 3:30 this Friday afternoon under the auspices of Sierra Rebekah Lodge No 245 IOOF with undertaker Burden directing, Many an eye in the large assemblage of people grew moist as the casket containing the mortal remains of the good woman was lowered in the grave.
In the home circle which has lost its lode star, a husband and three sons, Lowell, Harold and Meyer Ralph, are left in tears and sorrow, as also mourns two sister, Mrs Anna Howes of Sonora and Miss Julia Meyer of Oakland and George Meyer of Mariposa county. The people of this community share in the sorrow which is their portion and sympathize with them deeply.
