Rosine passed away suddenly in the family home of congestion of the lungs.

She seemed well the evening before and was in good spirits until late when she began to show signs of a slight cold. Then about midnight she developed an alarming coughing spell, and Dr. Bromley was summoned.

Dr. Bromley attended to her for two hours and felt she was stable. He left instructions to call him should her condition turn worse, and at 6:00 a.m. he was summoned for the second time.

When the doctor arrived at her bedside, she was already in a comatose condition. He called Dr. W. L. Hood for consultation, but they both agreed that nothing more could be done, as death came moments later.

Rosine was described as a beautiful person in every sense of the word. She was popular with old and young alike, and the community grieved along with her family who cherished her.
