Dying right after birth, this infant was born in Bryan County, Georgia, the child of Civil War veteran Emmitt Thomas Downs and Edna Josephine Pate Downs and had eleven siblings. This child’s ancestry was English and Irish, and he/she is a direct descendant of 18th century artist Joseph Badger. This baby is probably buried in an unmarked grave in Little Creek Cemetery in Bryan County.
