June P. (Cook) Collins, 85, of North Andover and formerly of Melrose, died December 24, 2016 at the Lawrence General Hospital. June was born in Melrose on March 21, 1931 to the late Elbridge and Margaret (Dolan) Cook. She was raised in Everett . She moved to Melrose after marrying where she raised her family. June enjoyed living in Hilton Head, South Carolina with her husband James until his passing in 2002. Then later moved to North Andover. She was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1949. June was predeceased by her husband James and her son James, Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia and her husband Ralph of North Andover and Kimberley of North Andover. Sisters, Dorothy of Marlborough, MA and Ann of Leesburg, FL. Grandchildren, Katie, Kevin, Ashleigh, Taylor and Christopher. Great-grandchildren, Emma Claire and Preston Kee, as well as several nieces and nephews. The Collins family would like would like to extend a special thank you for all the loving care from the staff at the Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence. Family and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 10 a.m. in St. Michael's Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover, MA. Burial will be private.
