Comedian, Entertainer. Called "King of Scandinavian Humor," he was known for his accordion playing, his wacky songs and hosting "The Stan Boreson Show" on KING-TV from the 1950s through the 1960s. He was born in Everett Washington where he attended Everett's Longfellow school, the same grade school that was attended by Henry M. "Scoop" Jackson. He went on to attend Everett High School and for two years Everett Junior College (now Everett Community College). It was when he was attending the University of Washington in 1949 that a program Director from KING-TV came the UW to look for local talent. Stan was recruited to be the host for "KING's Klubhouse" where he and his basset hound "No Mo Shun" would entertain the children of the Northwest with jokes and songs with a Scandinavian twist. He performed for the King of Norway and was honored with the St. Olav's Medal. He was a returning guest star on the Lawrence Welk show and performed on the radio program, "A Prairie Home Companion". Over the years he made numerous recordings transforming popular American songs into humorous Scandinavian renditions. He is best remembered for his Christmas songs like, "Yust Go Nuts at Christmas" and "Valking in my Vinter Underwear".
