The gravestone also includes Alice Anderson Brown, William's second wife. She was Hannah Alice Clark Anderson Brown, shown in the Census below. (She was also a sister to his first wife buried here, Selina. ) She went by Alice in the family.
In the 1930 Swampscott census, living at 14 Elliott St. were:
William H. Brown, emigrated to the US in 1890, naturalized, owner of a meat market;
wife Hannah A., 67, emigrated 1920, naturalized
