Henry George Hoffmann was born in April of 1865, one of eight children of Leonhardt Hoffmann and Maria Ann Schneider Hoffmann, in Campbell County, Kentucky. About 1894 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, George married Katherine M. Schlenk Demeans Hoffmann, and they had three children: John A. Hoffmann, Katherine M. Hoffmann Martin, and Carl T. Hoffmann. After living in New Jersey for a time, the couple moved back to Philadelphia. In the censuses of 1900, 1910, and 1920, he is shown to be a tailor. He is probably buried near his wife and her parents in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Philadelphia. George’s heritage was German. I hope someone will add his photo to this site.
