Betty Lou (Seibert) Erdman died on February 12, 2017 from injuries sustained in a car accident on February 2, 2017 in Supply, N. C. She was born on March 30, 1929 in Du Quoin, IL, daughter of Jacob George and Elizabeth Jane (Arendell) Seibert.


Betty married George Rupert Jr. on June 21, 1947;

and remarried Marvin Glenn Erdman on August 14, 1959.


Betty was an amazing woman, wife and mother. She was a long time member of local VFWs, American Legion, and Women of the Moose. She loved bingo and casinos and they loved her as well. She lost her last love (John Howard) in the accident. She will be greatly missed by her family, special friends: Dwight and Corkie Peterson, and many other friends in Wisconsin, Illinois, and North Carolina.


Betty is survived by her three children: Linda (nee Rupert) Powell, Jeffrey Rupert, Marvin D. Erdman;

her grandchildren: Scott Terrell, Kristine Terrell, {their mother Linda}; Justin Rupert, Malorie Rupert, Scott Reinke, Melissa Reinke, Angela Weckler, and Ashley Schultz;

several great-grandchildren;

and her two remaining sisters: Lucille Coffel and Verna Epplin .


Celebration of Life Memorial Services are set in DuQuoin, Ill. and final resting memorial will be at Forest Home Mausoleum in Marinette. Service in DuQuoin will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the VFW Hall, with Father Joseph Oganda of Sacred Heart Church presiding and the Service in Marinette will be on Monday at 1 p.m. with Father Celestine Byekwaso of Holy Family Catholic Church
