Virginia Abercrombie Trull Kuykendall, age 90 of Hendersonville, went home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 15th, 2017. She was born in Oconee County, S.C. in 1926, to the late, William Harrison Abercrombie, Sr. and Nellie Power Abercrombie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy E. Trull; her second husband, Harold Donald Kuykendall; two sisters, Nellie Couch and Mary Abercrombie; one brother, William Harrison Abercrombie, Jr.; and by two brothers-in-law, Gene Couch and J.D. Kelley.

She was employed with Belk for over 35 years and was a lifetime member of the Hendersonville Eastern Star, Chapter 61. She lived at 529 Willow Road, Hendersonville for over 50 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Ginger T. Waters and her husband, Robby; two granddaughters, Lisa W. Chastain and her husband, Timmy and Stephanie W. Ort and her husband, Greg; one grandson, Josh Waters; four great-grandchildren, Caitlin Johnson, Ashlyn Ort, Allie Ort and Greyson Waters; two sisters, Allie Mae Kelley of Waynesville and Betty Abercrombie of Hendersonville; one brother, Jim Lewis of Florence, S.C.; one sister-in-law, Winifred Abercrombie of Seneca, S.C.; and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Her Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18th, 2017 in Thos. Shepherd’s Church Street Chapel officiated by the Reverend James Norman. Burial will follow in Shepherd Memorial Park.
