Death notice published in Woodstown, Salem Co, NJ newspaper "The Monitor-Register" in Alloway News section on Monday, April 29th 1898:
"The funeral of Eugene Coles, second son of Captain T. H. Coles, of Philadelphia, took place on Wednesday afternoon from the Baptist Church. Interment in Baptist Cemetery. The deceased was a native of this place and his young childhood was spent here. A young man of much integrity and ability, he won the esteem of all, and will be greatly missed. The bereaved family have the sincere sympathy of friends and relatives in this community."
