Donald C. Kiger, formerly of Malvern, PA

Donald C. Kiger, 77, of Ickesburg, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20th, 2017 at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill.

Don was the beloved husband of Mary (Hays) Kiger with whom he shared 54 years of marriage following a 5 month courtship.

Born on May 31st, 1939, in Nelson, PA, Don was the son of the late Ralph and Thelma Hiddleson Kiger. He was pre-deceased in death by a brother, Marine Lance Corporal Ralph H. Kiger Jr in 1967.

Don was a graduate of Wilson High School in Easton and worked for Williams Company, formerly Transcontinental Pipeline for 40 years before retiring in 1999. Don loved the outdoors and was a member of the Ickesburg Sportsmen’s Club. Don enjoyed many years of coaching softball for the Great Valley Little League. He loved fishing and hunting, taking rides on his Harley, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Pam Kiger of Virginia Beach, and Debi Kiger Nask and Bob Nask of Honey Brook; a brother George of Easton, grandchildren Samantha, Brenna and Evan and a host of nephews, cousins and long-time friends.

A memorial service will take place at 2:30 pm on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Faith United Church, 6968 Veterans Way, Ickesburg, PA 17037 where friends and family are invited to call between 1:30 and 2:30 pm. Fellowship will follow the service in the church fellowship room.

Arrangements are being handled by the Nickel Funeral Home, P. O. BOX 910, Loysville, PA 17047.
