Age 63, of Canton died Tuesday, August 28, 2012 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Born October 30, 1948 in Philippi, WV. to the late Elwood and Winifred (Mayle) Poe. She was a Canton area resident most of her life and a 1965 graduate of Canton McKinley High School. Peggy was formerly employed by Diebold Inc. and G.E. Capital. Preceded in death by her husband, Freeman L. Croston in 2002 and one sister, Eleanor Thomas. She is survived by two sons, Aaron Croston and Freeman Croston II both of Canton; one grandson, Jarod Fogle; two sisters and brother-in-law, Irma Cottrill of California, Loutricia and Kenneth Mayle of Canton; two brothers and sister-in-law, Donald and Diane Poe of Carrollton, Elwood "Buster" Poe Jr. of Canton; special sister-in-law, Lucy Schmucker of Canton. Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 31, 2012 at 1:30 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave with Rev. Derwin Bertz officiating. Inurnment in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
