David was the son of Fred Hess and Edna Hayes. About 1946 he married Gladys Miller and they had two sons, David and Daryl. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a retired carpenter for F.W. Owens Co. David died at Caritas Medical Center at the age of 74.
