Sarah (Summers) LaBrecque, 94, of Pelham, NH, (formerly a resident of Concord Rd., Chelmsford, MA), died early Thanksgiving morning, peacefully in her sleep with family.

Born November 25, 1920, the daughter of the late James Herman Summers and the late Laura Catherine (Lynch) Summers, she grew up and was educated in the Round Hill, Virginia area.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. LaBrecque who died May 5, 2007.

Among her many interests, Sarah cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved antiquing, gardening, her pets and all things beautiful.

In addition, she enjoyed politics both local and national, and was involved in the early beginnings of Camp Paul in Chelmsford. In the 1980's, Sarah, Bob and Jamie moved to Gorham, Maine where they enjoyed retirement not far from where they began as newlyweds in Westbrook.

God was foremost in her life, evident by her deepening love of the Bible in recent years and exuberant worship at Mass as a Catholic. Her St Patrick friends and dearest caregivers will greatly miss her.

Sarah is survived and missed by a daughter, Patricia J. Grenda of Bridgeton, ME; four sons, John "Alex" LaBrecque of Monrovia, CA, C. Stuart LaBrecque and his wife, Kathleen of Pelham, NH, with whom Sarah made her home, Thomas L. LaBrecque and his wife, Heather of Westford, and James L. "Jamie" LaBrecque of Bridgeton, ME; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Catherine Moss and the late Mary Mover.

Burial in the Gibson Cemetery.

Those wishing may make contributions in her memory to the St Patrick's Food Pantry in Pelham NH. (Pelham Funeral Home, Funeral Director, James F. O'Donnell, Jr. (603) 635-3333)
