Willard was the son of Willard Wardrip and Hazel Hess. About 1948 he married Arlean Halppen and they had five children: Barbara, Joyce, Francis, Michael and Judy. They divorced and on 06 Feb 1962 he married his second wife, Flora Jean, who had also been previously married. They, too, divorced and on 19 Feb 1969 he married Viola Loeffler (nee McConnell). He was a World War II veteran and a retired furnace tapper at Airco Carbide Co. Willard died at Jewish Hospital at the age of 50.
