Ida M. Cornwell, 90 of Covington died at 10:20 pm Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Piqua Manor Nursing Home. She was born July 8, 1926 in Uttoxeter, England to the late Albert J. and Elsie (Sambrooke) Mellor. She married Calvin V. Cornwell August 16, 1945, he preceded her in death February 2, 1973.

Survivors include a daughter;a son, John Cornwell of Sidney; a grandson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Cornwell was a wonderful homemaker and mother that took much pride and love in being a grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, painting and gardening.

A private service to honor her life will be at the convenience of the family with Rev. Jack Chalk officiating. Arrangements are being handled through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 15120 Collections Center Dr., Chicago, IL 60693.
