Ava M. Kiger, 72, of Spraggs R.D. 1, died at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 1987, in Greene County Memorial Hospital after a two-month illness.
She was born October 23, 1914, in Kanawha County, W. Va., a daughter of Jessie W. and Esther Mae Armisted Patton.
Her early life was spent in West Virginia and for the past 51 years she had resided in Perry Township. She was a member of the Pin Oak Church of God.
Surviving are her husband, Okle O. Kiger, whom she married December 28, 1935; a daughter, eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister.
Deceased are a son, Herschell; three sisters, Celesta, Eva and Oleta; and five brothers, Raymon, Ted, Eric, Gerald and Ralph.
