Arthur B Smith — Arthur Byron Smith, a self-employed hardwood floor contractor, died Wednesday in a local hospital at the age of 86.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Portland Memorial Funeral Home, with private inurnment in Portland Memorial Mausoleum.
Mr Smith, who lived at 4623 SE Jennings Sy, was born July 2, 1887, in Farnsha, Neb. He moved to Dayton in 1892 and to Portland in 1909. He was a past master of Multnomah Masonic Lodge 1.
Survivors include three sons, Donald C of West Linn, Robert D of McMinnville, and Arthur B Jr of Port Orchard, Wash; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
