Laura married Albert Charles Alexander 1905/06 (TX or CA?) and lived in San Pedro CA. [Year: 1910; Census Place: Los Angeles Assembly District 70, Los Angeles, California; Roll: T624_80; Page: 7A; Enumeration District: 0275; FHL microfilm: 1374093]
Albert enlisted as an "ordinary seaman" on the United States Revenue Cutter Commodore Perry in San Pedro, 14 Nov 1909, and served until it ran aground and broke up in the Bearing Sea (July 26, 1910). last source for him was the 1913 San Francisco City Directory (2588 Lombard, living Laura's son John Edward Sanford). He was a teamster, and listed with the Quartermaster's Corps.
In the 1917 San Francisco City Directory, Laura Alexander is listed as "wid. Albert", although the term 'widow' was used a bit liberally then, and could have meant separated or divorced. John Edward Sanford's Draft Registration card lists Laura as a dependent.
